The Leadership Circle
Convened by Bill Shireman, the Leadership Circle is a forum for philanthropists, corporate leaders, experts, activists, influencers, and strategists to learn, build relationships, and collaborate around pragmatic solutions for a healthy environment and democracy. We meet monthly over Zoom and annually at EarthX in Dallas.

Welcome to the Leadership Circle, a community of seasoned leaders across ten sectors who will help you expand your knowledge, broaden your network, improve your leadership skills, amplify your power, and collaborate to reach your goals, as you enable others to reach theirs.
Our Program
We meet monthly as a whole community by Zoom, quarterly in smaller working groups to advance special campaigns, and annually in person at EarthX in Dallas, TX.
Each month on Zoom, you can join fascinating Leadership Circle meetings focused on learning, skill-building, mutual support, and action. Our private meetings are held under ground rules that create a safe space for exploring ideas, building trust, and deepening relationships.

Each quarter, or more frequently if the group so chooses, you can also participate in working groups focused on building and advancing special campaigns. We are currently organizing two campaigns:
- Circle America – to spread awareness of and influence the transition towards a nature-based and nature-guided circular economy and culture.
- Healthy Democracy – to spread awareness about the threat of authoritarianism and promote the everyday practice of democracy.

Our Purpose
What brings us together and makes us a whole community are two goals we all share: a healthy planet and a healthy people.
To us, a healthy planet means one with clean air, water, and energy; healthy oceans, forests, and climate; and abundant natural resources we use wisely for the long-term benefit of all.
A healthy people means empowered citizens who can achieve more through collaborative problem-solving than cultural and political warfare. Citizens practiced in critical thinking, respectful discourse, robust dialog, civic engagement, citizen-led problem solving, and day-to-day democracy.
A healthy planet requires a healthy people and vice versa.
Our Community
We bring together philanthropists, corporate leaders, experts, activists, influencers, and strategists from 10 interconnected sectors to achieve together what we cannot apart, overcoming challenges intensified by social, cultural, and political change.
In the Leadership Circle, your network will expand to include leaders in energy and materials, retail and consumer brands, manufacturing and transportation, corporate sustainability, investment and entrepreneurship, high-impact philanthropy, environmental proactivism, civic problem-solving, solutions media and journalism, policy design, and bipartisan citizen engagement.
